How’s Your Confidence?

Posted by: Kylie Rayner | Comments (5)

This thing called confidence seems to rear it’s ugly head quite a bit in the work at home mum world. Why is that? Why did we go from being confident, well organised career women, to someone that hides at home hoping that maybe our little business might just make us some money one day.

Why are we unable to stand up and be proud about what we are doing, after all it is the most challenging and difficult job in the world. If you actually think for a moment about all of the skills required for us to just maintain an efficient schedule and get through each day then surely we should have confidence in there somewhere.

It saddens me to see this with the WAHM world. I wonder that just because we aren’t in our little 3m x 3m cubicle in a 20 story office building that what we are doing isn’t seen to be overly valuable. Is that why we WAHM’s lack confidence? The Tall Poppy Blog discusses these sorts of issues all of the time in regards to women in general and Anne from the Tall Poppy has created ‘Confidence In A Box’. Now how neat would that be if we could just go down to the local store and ask for a box of confidence each week in the grocery shopping, that would surely make things easier wouldn’t!

Anne has asked has to help spread the Confidence In A Box around the world so here is my gift from Anne to me to you – ‘Confidence In A Box’.

Are You A Goddess?

Posted by: Kylie Rayner | Comments (3)

Ok this may sound a little off track for my blog, but I need to keep reminding myself that although I may have my own work from home business and although I may be a mother of two and a wife, housekeeper and all the other labels I could so easily list here. The number one thing that I am is “Me” and I need to remind myself of that.

Nicole from the Modern Goddess has done some many wonderful things for me in the short time I have known her. She has given me the courage to look within and spend some time getting to know me. In essence she is helping me find my inner Goddess.

When was the last time you really thought about you, we get so caught up in the busyness of our everyday lives that ‘we’ often get overlooked. Maybe, just maybe if you were to spend more time on you then everything else in your life, including your business would be so much more successful.

I urge you to visit Nicole’s blog and to read it regularly she shares some wonderful information and is truly a beautiful being and I am blessed to have met her (albeit only online). In fact she recently put up this fun quiz asking if you are a Goddess, so jump over and take the quiz, see you there soon.

Mom Webs Hosting

Posted by: Kylie Rayner | Comments (2)

Mom Webs Hosting: I recently had to find a new web host for my sites. There are so many available today and the one thing that I was positive about was that I didn’t want to be shopping around for web hosting again for a very long time. I needed to be sure that I made the right decision when choosing my host.

My first hurdle; when it comes to web hosting I really don’t understand most of the technical jargon and how much GIG of bandwith or how many Mega Bytes of Disc Space I may need each month. All of that techy talk just confuses me no end so I need a host that talks me in a way that I will understand. A host that doesn’t get frustrated because I don’t quite understand what they are talking about all of the time.

That’s when I found Mom Webs. During my initial research I contacted them via their help desk, of which I had to register with before I could send the enquiry. Well I have no idea what I did but I completely messed up my registration and it wouldn’t allow me to log in. I contacted them immediately and with minutes they had responded and had reset my password.

From there my bombarding of questions began and every single one of my questions was answered in a timely and easy to understand manner. I was very impressed and obviously sold. There and then I ordered my web hosting plan with Mom Webs. The process took a couple of days but really all I needed to do was to provide my domain details and log in details and Mom Webs did the rest.

Now whenever I need to add a new domain to my account I just log in and add the details myself. I can even register the domain right there with Mom Webs as well, and being able to do everything in one place really makes me one happy girl.

Here’s to a long and happy relationship with Mom Webs. If you are looking for Web Hosting take the time to consider Mom Webs, they really have delivered for me. For more information about the Mom Webs Hosting visit Mom Webs today!

If you have had an experience with Mom Webs please leave a comment and let us know about it.

Looking For A Laptop

Posted by: Kylie Rayner | Comments (3)

My husband and I have decided that it’s time to get ourselves a laptop, well technically, get me a laptop ;) That way I can atleast work whilst being in the same room as my family instead of being locked away in my own little office. I can take it with me anywhere and I can still work (even though I don’t call what I do work) but I will have that access whenever I need to.

We started researching and looking around just a few days ago and ‘wow’ it seems a whole new ball game from buying a standard PC. Not only do we need to consider all of the laptop capabilities but now we also have a whole new range of software to look at as well. With the recent launch of Windows Vista and Microsoft Office 2007 and then all the varying levels within each of these packages, which one do we choose!!!

It sure isn’t an easy process and one that will take some time for us to decide on which is the right one for us. Have you been down this road? Do you have any feedback that may help me on my quest for my new laptop? I’d really appreciate hearing from you. :)

Affiliate Marketer or Affiliate Manager? Do you know the difference? Did you even know that there was a difference? These 2 are very easily confused to the new online entreprenuer but it is really pretty simple, one has products available for sale on their website via the way of an affiliate program and the other sells those products on their website and earns a commission for doing so.

Now that was pretty easy wasn’t it! But for a more detailed explanation of the differences between the two you can read that here.
