Create an Impact with Ad Impact
Posted by: | CommentsGetting the attention of visitors to your site is generally the number one thing site owners are trying to accomplish. Having them register and join your mailing list is right up there in terms of priorities when it comes to marketing your site.
We all know how much everyone loves pop ups, not, so when I stumbled on this little tool I thought it was kind of cool.
It is being labelled as the “Latest In Cool, Next Generation Pop Up Marketing.” They claim that their floating layer technology can increase your opt in rate by up to 300%….wow that’s a bold statement to make. I must admit that some of the ‘floating layers’ they have available are kinda funky and they also have the opprotunity to use some of them for Free.
So anyway, why not check it out for yourself www.adimpact.com be sure to let us know if you trial one of the free ones and how it goes for you.
Search Engines Rank Pages….
Posted by: | CommentsDid you know that? Search engines rank pages not websites, they are looking for the most precise page that has the most relevant information for what someone is searching for. This is where your use of headlines, keywords and meta tags come into play and ensuring that each and everyone one of your websites pages are optimised for their particular keywords.
Search Engines also look at the links coming in to your site and into the pages in particular. This is where article marketing plays a huge role, as each article you have ‘out there’ is linking back to a specific page on your site (as long as you have also included that article on your site that is).
Another point to look at with links and search engines is to link to pages within your site. Read over your content, do you reference other content that is elsewhere on your site, be sure to link to that article and any others that are relevant within your site.
All of this linking increases the pages chance of being picked up by a search engine.
So you aren’t sure about trying Affiliate Marketing?
Posted by: | CommentsYou have a great range of products on your site already why on earth would you want to offer competitors advertisements??? Something that up until recently I was also concerned about, why on earth would I do this,I want my visitors to buy from me, not my competitors.
Now I am certainly not recommending to add affiliate banners on your shopping cart pages (as this may take them away from there) however this is where the beauty of the content area of your site can come into play. These are the pages where you can be recommending affiliate products. What about compliementary products to your range do a quick search and see what’s out there and you just might be suprised what you find, when it comes to affiliate programs.
Now let’s get realistic, if visitors to your site aren’t buying from you then they are no doubt buying from your competitors, so why not make something from those visitors for your time and effort. Having trusted affiliate programs in place may just see your site earning some extra passive income along the way.
Are you promoting affiliate programs on your site? I’d love to hear from you if you are. If you have an affiliate program that you would like to promote feel free to leave a comment with the details of your program.
Google Adsense maybe??
Posted by: | CommentsGoogle Adsense is just one form of pay per click advertising. So you may be asking, “Why would I want to have google adsense on my website?”
To put it quite simply, because you can earn money from it. You have no doubt spent a considerable amount of time and money researching the content for your website. Adsense can offer you some passive income – now who wouldn’t like some of that?
Setting up an adsesne account is really quite simple. It may take a few days as google do check your website. But once you are set up it is as easy as choosing the ad code and placing it into your website.
You will no doubt find that you may need to ‘tweak’ the ads and the placement of them but we will discuss that later.
So are you using adsense?
Where should you blog?
Posted by: | CommentsThere are many blog hosts and applications available today it is just a matter of finding the one that suits you and your business. Before deciding on which platform to use ensure you have a good look around each one, checking out the features and the ease of use.
There are several things you may need to look at when choosing your blog platform but the two main things are the purpose in which the blog is used. What are you planning to use it for? And your technical ability is another issue, no point choosing a platform that requires you to understand loads of technical jargon if you have no idea what it all means.
Here are a few blogging platforms that you may wish to have a look around:
Word Press is fast becoming one the more widely used blogging platforms and in some cases you may already have it on your website control panel.
Blogger is probably the most widely used free blogging platform available.
Typepad is also another popular blog platform but it does offer some restrictions when using the free version and some programming skills would very much come in handy for this platform.
Flickr recently purchased by Yahoo is growing in leaps and bounds. Flickr is primarily a photo sharing service.
Skype also has a chat interview component which can be great for podcasts and video or voice chats.
This list is certainly not extensive, there are other blogging platforms out there, just do a search and it will return many for you.
Best of luck with creating your own blog. If you have already taken the leap and set one up be sure to share the details with us here.
Have you started your article yet?
Posted by: | CommentsYou may remember I briefly mentioned the beauty of Article Marketing and what it can do to increase traffic to your website.
So have you written your article yet? Basically anyone with a website can and should write articles. These are not a sales pitch here say they are an informative article detailing either a particular product or service.
You may think you have nothing to write about!! But let me tell you, you do! Take a moment and think about your customers. What are the things they need to know. If you are an interior decorator you could write an article about colours or about furniture placement. If you are a website designer write about how a well presented professional website can really do great things for an online business. If you have a Baby Shopping Cart Website look at baby related articles…mums can never get enough info for their bubs.
No matter what your business, your customers have a need to know something….what is it? Once you have got that part figured out, maybe start making a list and you will no doubt end up with heaps of article ideas. Just think a minute about your target market and the things that they may want to know.
Let me know how you are going
